CAST Coordinator

The CAST Coordinator is responsible for the successful planning and execution of the Child Advocacy Studies Program through partnerships with MS colleges and universities. The coordinator will facilitate peer network among CAST institutions, promote experiential learning and use of simulations, provide outreach and training for MS professionals within the child welfare field, and assist with completion/evaluation of program outcomes. Graduate Degree required with experience of 5+ years working with children and families in a human service setting. Family Care Specialist
Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency
Base rate is $52,000 with an individual’s financial compensation based on education and experience.
Job Description: Mississippi Organ Recovery Agency is an innovative center of excellence that maximizes the gift of organ, tissue and eye donation. The Family Care Specialist (FCS) are responsible for initiating the process of discussing the organ donation option with the family with reasonable discretion and sensitivity to the family’s circumstances, values or beliefs and obtain consent for donation. The role of the FCS is to engage support and collaborate with donor families, hospital staff, medical examiners, coroners and funeral homes to optimize donation. The FCS is responsible for writing donor follow-up letters, in-person and telephone support of donor families and being involved in donor family ceremonies. The FCS is responsible for communicating with funeral homes and coroners in MORA’s DSA as needed to discuss potential organ donors.

Education and Work Experience Requirements:
- Experience in counseling, bereavement care, ministry, social work, allied health or related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the above is preferred.
- Ability to work with families dealing with intense emotions and in crisis.
- Excellent ability to communicate by demonstrated interpersonal and listening skills.

All advertising must be related to the social work profession and is subject to the publisher's approval. NASW MS reserves the right to reject advertisements for any reason at any time and is not liable for any alleged loss or damages if an advertisement is omitted for any reason. NASW MS complies with the provisions of applicable federal and state laws prohibiting discrimination. Placement of ads will be at NASW MS's discretion, although job vacancies and other advertiser's preferences will be met whenever possible. The placement of an advertising order constitutes an acceptance of all the rates and conditions under which advertising is sold at the time.
Social Work Employment Advertisement Rate

accept/edit material from brochures. There is a $250 charge per job vacancy advertise for 30 days with 100 words or less. There is a $280 charge to advertise for 30 days per job vacancy
with 101-200 words and a $300 charge to advertise for 30 days per job vacancy
with 201-300 words.

Non-Employment Advertisement Rate
All ads related to to social work but not employment opportunities should be submitted as email or camera ready copy. There is a $25 additional charge if ad is not email or camera ready. These Ads are limited to 1/2 page, approximately 7 X 5 inches. The cost is $300 per month (30 days from posting). All advertisements must be paid PRIOR to publication by money order or check payable to NASW MS. E-mail camera ready digital ads in .doc, .gif, .jpeg, or .pdf format to gbouiehaynes.naswms@socialworkers.org .
